Permanent elections

It’s been suggested to me that we use e-voting to have permanent elections. I trotted out my usual lack of security arguments, that we can’t have transparency of results and secrecy of the ballot, but we have these insecure systems running the banks and the monetary system; they’re always being hacked and or known to have errors. Maybe I am wrong democracy is not too important enough to protect against this sort of crap. It’s just that no-one who argues for more e-voting recognises the crapness, it’s argued as progressive reform.
