What the wealthy want
The Tories traditional "Business supports the Tories, but it's in the public interest" has been published in the Telegraph. Labour's reply is on the way to the Guardian, but I think News Arse sums it up best. Rich people don't get rich by giving it away .... or sharing it.
- Very rich people declare support for party that supports very rich peopleSeveral incredibly rich people have had their minions type a letter in which they have declared their wholehearted support for the party that wholeheartedly supports them. "This is wonderful news," said Prime Minister David Cameron, in case you weren't entirely sure who they were supporting.
- Left Foot Forward documents how over paid these people are. They are paid millions, in many cases hundreds of of times more than the average wage in their companies.
- REVEALED: The fat cat pay packets of the Tory-supporting bossesA glance at the wealth of some of the signatories makes it hard to believe they care about ordinary people How much weight the public attach to the letter by big business leaders supporting Conservative economic policy depends on whether people think the business leaders in question are motivated by altruism or self-interest.
- Labour's reply is that the Tories plan doesn't help everyone, or even a majority
- Make sure working people are heard during this election. The Labour Party and its elected representatives may contact you about issues we think you may be interested in or with campaign updates. - A bunch of over paid Tory supporting business people, write to the Telegraph to tell us that we've never had it so good.
- 100 business chiefs: Labour threatens Britain's recoveryThe letter is the biggest ever endorsement by business leaders of a political party and will further undermine the economic credibility of Ed Miliband , the Labour leader, and Ed Balls, the shadow chancellor.
