A GDP chart would be better.
On the first day, found the code for such a web page; I have reverse engineered the data model and database, and have made a landing page for my implementations of this tool; I have inserted my data file into Neil’s code and it can be viewed here for Q4 23 and also for all 2023, although I need to do some work with the javascript; this page’s presentation is not very satisfactory.

On my third visit, I met the author of donation whistle, [ the site | the code ]. I really like this; it has a real time feed from the EC and answers some of the questions one wants to ask really well. I have starred it in github and raised one issue already.
I have worked with my 2023 extract to prototype some of the queries I plan to run and report on.

]]>The top community modding site is, nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods. I am using Firefox and Ghostry, I had to mark the site as trusted as the downloads do not work unless this is done.
The BG3 wiki has an article on the subject, Installing Mods. They recommend the installation of the Mod Manager, which is at GitHub. It mandates some .NET programs, I already had the framework, but I installed the recommended .NET desktop app. I used this video as my guide, but later found this video. The latter is very quick but probably deals with the games file folder locations and other things in a better way; it also points you at the BG3 Mod Manager settings menu.
This is what I have done, I hope that having it in text format helps.
Nexus keeps track of your downloads from their site.
Is it possible to play Shadowheart as a trickery domain cleric? Most commentators suggest not. I have written what turned into an essay on the best Shadowheart build. (I think too hard about some of this stuff.) I came to the conclusion that I wanted her to remain a trickery domain cleric. I first considered the big nerf in the game to be invoke duplicity and this can be fixed using a mod, called UA6 invoke duplicity. While looking for it, I came across a mod called “trickery domain overhaul”. This claims to correct some of the other nerfs and may in fact buff the class when compared with the DnD rulebook version, but also requires the all 5e spells mod. for Toll the Dead. TtD is a cantrip and is an important augmentation to the published build. I have installed these; we’ll see.
How odd, minutes after cutting all this out and making a public page, I find this video, Making Jester, although the author does not install the mods, they took more care in how the avatar looks.
The featured image is the screenshot from a youtube video, called “These mods make BG3 even better”.

From Trevor I/O,
If you’re modelling an existing database, want to get it done fast, and have it stay up to date, try Trevor.io.
If you’re creating something new and prefer code over a GUI, try QuickDBB or DBDiagram.
If you require more flexibility and have a bit more time to spend creating and maintaining your diagram, try LucidChart.

I can find no documentation on how to run the COD2 server, although plenty of ads for third party servers. Perhaps I need to study the manual, here’s what steam has to say.
This is where I am.
There are a bunch of 3rd party servers, for instance, GTX gaming have COD 3 server. , and game tracker advertise a bunch on their site.

]]>I had a look at Otter and Netsurf. Is Ubuntu losing mind share? I tried several ways to install Otter and they all failed. They claim there’s a ppa repo, but apt failed to download with fatal errors claiming the repo was corrupted. Maybe it’s because they have abandoned .deb packages. I had a look at installing from source, but got stuck at Qt5. Shame, great logo and name.
I have successfully compiled Netsurf although some of the image handling functionality might be a bit underwhelming i.e. I might be missing some image handling software. It’s fast which is good, but it’s functionality is a problem for me. Maybe I should read the documentation but the big problem is that I have compiled from source and thus my regular apt job will not update it.
The purpose of this post is to document the missing software that will permit an error free compilation of Netsurf and the apt calls that will pull them down.
It needed a bunch of pre-reqs that no longer or do not come as standard with ubuntu 22, which surprises me, but I compiled from source. I have documented the missing programs and libraries in a script, on github. (There must be a better way of finding the apt runes.)
The required packages are,
sudo apt install flex bison gperf
sudo apt install expat expat1-dev libexpat1-dev
sudo apt install libcurl4-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev
sudo apt install libgtk2.0-dev
sudo apt install libcanberra-gtk-module
I am looking for lightweight because I am running Ubuntu in Virtual Box and I may be short of memory; ayway my preferred browser, Firefox, is slow and hangs. I may report on my usage another day.
