I had another look at the page in 2024 and tried to repair the broken links and added some more stuff.  I first visited Seville just before the Easter of 2006. As ever I used the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20071221030244\/http:\/\/www.roughguides.com:80\/store\/details.html?ProductID=16\">Rough Guide to Andalucia<\/a> to plan the holiday and posted some of my pictures in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/davelevy\/sets\/72057594100854881\/\">a set at flickr<\/a>. This was first made in 2008&nbsp; and some of this is pretty outdated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a href=\".\/#todo\">Things to do<\/a> | <a href=\".\/#transport\">Transport<\/a> | <a href=\".\/#hotel\">Hotels<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Guardian reviewed their wiki&#8217;s Seville page in the weekend travel supplement of the 2nd September 2006, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20130416012030\/http:\/\/www.ivebeenthere.co.uk:80\/places\/spain\/seville\/\">here&#8230;<\/a>, they revisited it in October 2007, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/travel\/2007\/oct\/27\/saturday.seville\">here&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"max-width: 640px; height: 400px\" class=\"fshow-wrapper\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/fshow_orbit_5ff6ee733d967?photosetid=72057594100854881&user_id=38126735%40N00&username=photomatt&gallery_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.flickr.com%2Fphotos%2Fphotomatt%2Fsets%2F72057594100854881%2F\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 400px\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" border=\"0\">\n<\/iframe>\n<noscript>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/s\/aGF1NV48fR\" target=\"_blank\">Click to View<\/a><\/noscript>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting there<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Not so easy these days, I plan to fly and train, see also my <a href=\"https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/madrid\/\">Madrid<\/a> page<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a name=\"transport\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting to and from the Airport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bus (EA), taxi or Uber\/Bolt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seville-traveller.com\/getting-to-seville-airport\/\">it seem<\/a>s, no metro nor train. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Public Transport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The buses cost <strong>\u20ac<\/strong>1.40, and can be bought on the bus, for cash or with a card, although the Airport Bus costs <strong>\u20ac<\/strong>4.00. There is a multi-day pass, which can be bought for 1.50 and is a wallet, and so has what you put on it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Seville Metro, is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.introducingseville.com\/seville-metro\">described on this page<\/a>, and has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metro-sevilla.es\/mapa-y-trayectos\">a map<\/a>. There is one line, which is colour coded on the map. The underground\/subway system is a separate system and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metromadrid.es\/sites\/default\/files\/documentos\/Viaja%20en%20Metro\/Planos\/Planoesquematico.pdf\">has a separate map<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<a name=\"todo\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next Time<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/tripadvisor-wikimedia-h20.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"113\" height=\"24\" src=\"https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/tripadvisor-wikimedia-h20.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13462\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.uk\/Attractions-g187443-Activities-Seville_Province_of_Seville_Andalucia.html\">Things to do in Seville<\/a>, by Trip Advisor, we did quite well last time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The tourism office have a site, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.introducingseville.com\/\">introducing Seville<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tripadvisor on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.uk\/Attractions-g187443-Activities-c49-t28-Seville_Province_of_Seville_Andalucia.html\">Art Galleries<\/a>, including, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.uk\/Attraction_Review-g187443-d8678865-Reviews-Real_Academia_de_Bellas_Artes_de_Santa_Isabel_de_Hungria-Seville_Province_of_Sevi.html\">Real Academia de Bellas Artes de Santa Isabel de Hungria<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>See some Flamenco again, possibly the same place<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/alcazarsevilla.org\/\">Alcazar<\/a> again<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.introducingseville.com\/hospital-caridad\">Hospital de le Caridad<\/a>, another art gallery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visit the Triana<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.setasdesevilla.com\/\">Setas de Sevilla<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<a name=\"hotel\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hotels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Also the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotelreyalfonsox.es\/en\/\">Hotel Rey Alfonso X<\/a> &#8211; booked in 2025, for others I considered, check the google city map I made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2006, I stayed at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lascasasdelosmercaderesseville.com\/index.htm\"><b>Casas de los Mercaderes<\/b><\/a>, which is part of a group whose site is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.intergrouphoteles.com\/html\/index.php\">here&#8230;<\/a>. When I originally found this site it was very much optimised for IE, but it seems the site has changed and on re-reading the <b>Rough Guide<\/b>, it would seem the whole chain is located in interesting and well located buildings.
