This meant I needed an icon for program launcher bar; actually it didn&#8217;t because the icon the GOG version ships with is fine. In order to prove this to myself I used google to look for some circular icons.<\/p>\n<p>I found a bunch with white backgrounds and in .jpg format. Including this one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iconarchive.com\/show\/mega-games-pack-26-icons-by-3xhumed\/Neverwinter-Nights-2-2-icon.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1804\" title=\"This is the cropped .png version of the image. It clicks through to the home page at Icon Archive, CC BY-NC-ND\" alt=\"nwn2-1t\" src=\"https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/nwn2-1t.png\" width=\"204\" height=\"204\" srcset=\"https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/nwn2-1t.png 204w, https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/nwn2-1t-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/nwn2-1t-144x144.png 144w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 204px) 100vw, 204px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The simplest way to make an icon for my purposes is to use <a title=\"the documnetation at get paint.net\" href=\"http:\/\/www.getpaint.net\/doc\/latest\/index.html\">Paint.net<\/a> and <a title=\"making backgrounds transparant at paint.net forums\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20161119153408\/http:\/\/forums.getpaint.net:80\/index.php?\/topic\/12196-making-backgrounds-of-images-transparent\/\">this article<\/a> at their forums details how to do it. Use the <strong>magic wand<\/strong> and <strong>edit &gt;&gt; cut<\/strong>, then <strong>save it as<\/strong> .png which is good enough for object dock.<\/p>\n<p>Best copy the new .png to the object dock image library.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>ooOOOoo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When checking out the image in order to post it in this article, I discovered that <a title=\"iconarchive.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iconarchive.com\/show\/mega-games-pack-26-icons-by-3xhumed\/Neverwinter-Nights-2-2-icon.html\">the host site<\/a> has this as a .png with transparant background anyway, but the research is useful for the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I use objectdock free on one of my XP systems and have just decided to install NWN2 complete.
