This was originally written in 2015, when my works trip returned to Chamonix. Yup, we’re going back to Chamonix, probably staying here., obviously going up in the world; it’s next door to the one we used in 2011. In 2025, I had a look to go under my own steam, to see the snow and sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Rome 2 Rio suggests, Fly to Geneva and then catch a bus, by Swiss Tours, which is what I did. Here is the Swiss Tours booking page<\/a>. Travelling by train is not much cheaper and takes too long and passes through Geneva. I considered Flixbus<\/a>, or google gemini says, “Several companies run shuttle services, including easyBus.com<\/a>, Swiss Tours<\/a>, Alpine Fleet<\/a>, and FlixBus<\/a>.” Eventually used Swiss Tours, which was easy. GVA was a mess on arrival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I no longer have any ski wear, and if I fall over, I won’t be able to get up. So no skiing! 🎿No drag lifts and chair lifts might be a problem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
