I did a course on employment law and here are some notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

I was surprised to learn that protection from unfair dismissal is a human right<\/a> as far as the EU is concerned. They have a section of the Charter of Fundamental Rights called Solidarity; wikipedia says, “The fourth title (Solidarity<\/strong>) covers social and workers’ rights<\/a> including the right to fair working conditions<\/a>, protection against unjustified dismissal<\/a>, and access to health care<\/a>, social<\/a> and housing assistance<\/a>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course was supplemented by the LRD’s “Law at Work” 2018<\/a> albeit in a Union cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This is a right for all employees<\/a> with 26 weeks service longevity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Tribunal compensation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    An article, at Michael Mores, stating the Tariff<\/a> for compensation for 2022\/23, these are called vento bands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Collective Grievance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    A Collective Grievance<\/strong> is defined as a grievance<\/strong> raised by a group of employees (normally two or more) and\/or their representative(s) regarding a matter relating to their employment, which is the same situation in the workplace, which is common to them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
