Here are my notes. &#8230;<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Compensation is based on actual financial loss, hurt feelings (to be considered a breach of rights), compensation for any work related injuries inc. stress and aggravated damages (if the employer&#8217;s behaviour was particularly bad.)<\/p>\n<p>Here is a page from citizen&#8217;s advice, which categorises the damages into three classes, (Low, Middle &amp; High)<\/p>\n<p>Here is a table, taken from that site.<\/p>\n<p><STYLE TYPE=\"text\/css\">\r\n.firstline { font-style: italic; font-weight: bold; background-color: #90ee90; }\r\n<\/STYLE>\r\n<TABLE WIDTH=\"100%\" BORDER=\"0\">\r\n<TR class=\"firstline\">\r\n<TD>Band<\/TD>\r\n<TD>Value<\/TD>\r\n<TD>Description<\/TD>\r\n<\/TR>\r\n<TR>\r\n<TD>Lower<\/TD>\r\n<TD>&#163;900 -&#163;8,800<\/TD>\r\n<TD>For less serious cases such as a one-off act<\/TD>\r\n<\/TR>\r\n<TR>\r\n<TD>Middle<\/TD>\r\n<TD>&#163;8,800 - &#163;26,000<\/TD>\r\n<TD>For cases which are serious but don't fall\r\ninto the top band. For example, a serious one-off act of harassment or where\r\nyou lost your job because of the discrimination<\/TD>\r\n<\/TR>\r\n<TR>\r\n<TD>High<\/TD>\r\n<TD>&#163;26,300 - &#163;44,000<\/TD>\r\n<TD>High\t&#163;26,300-&#163;44,000\tFor the most serious cases of discrimination.
