I am tired of <a href=\"https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/?s=elementary\">having Linux stuff just not work<\/a>. Elementary&#8217;s distro <acronym title=\"I needed to upgrade versions\">upgrade path<\/acronym> is a menace, there&#8217;s no RDP, cloud disks are a pain in the butt, and now I found <acronym title=\"this may have been my fault\">problems<\/acronym> with bluetooth. Here are my notes on starting up on Ubuntu again.\u00a0 &#8230;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I have forgotten what it doesn&#8217;t\u00a0 come with. I can&#8217;t find my install stuff script, and have installed using apt, samba, bluetooth, git, &amp; net-tools. I need to fix my <code>whatsmyip<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>I should read this, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tecmint.com\/things-to-do-after-installing-ubuntu-20-04\/\">Things to Do After Installing Ubuntu 20.04<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>How to do it!<\/h3>\n<p>I found another computer, and looked for these links, <a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntu.com\/tutorials\/install-ubuntu-desktop#2-download-an-ubuntu-image\">https:\/\/ubuntu.com\/tutorials\/install-ubuntu-desktop#2-download-an-ubuntu-image<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Firefox Video<\/h3>\n<p><code>ffmpeg<\/code> is <a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/en-US\/questions\/1317085\">needed<\/a> to make amazon video player work with firefox.<\/p>\n<h3>Samba<\/h3>\n<p>I had problems with samba, as it seems I still need smb version 1. The smb.conf file requires the following line,<\/p>\n<pre><code>client min protocol = NT1\r\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>am getting browser problems<\/p>\n<p>failed to retrieve share list from server connection timed out<\/p>\n<p>This it seems <a href=\"https:\/\/askubuntu.com\/questions\/74789\/failed-to-retrieve-share-list-from-server-error-when-browsing-a-share-with-nau\">to need<\/a> the following line in smb,conf<\/p>\n<pre><code>name resolve order = bcast host<\/code><\/pre>\n<h3>Bluetooth Speakers<\/h3>\n<p>These, Lenure A15 by Meguo, have now worked but I need to check <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1D6AEQynF8XAP7aWTCRC3yLP5oaG_Wpcl\/view?usp=sharing\">the documentation<\/a> which is quite clear, it will only pair\/connect to one device at a time.
