Here are my notes, this is an article about its history. For my travel notes, see <a href=\"https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/vilnius\/\">Vilnius<\/a>, &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/davelevy.info\/wiki\/a-trip-to-lithuania-and-back\/\">A trip to Lithuania and back<\/a> on this wiki. The latter page is currently Private, which I need to sort but it contained specific plans which I felt best not to share. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Reading <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/History_of_Lithuania\">the Wikipedia article on its History<\/a>, I would say five stages, tribal, mediaeval, the Grand Duchy, Russian &amp; Soviet satellites\/provinces, and post wende independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The grand duchy ended in 1795, and Lithuania became a province of the Russian Empire.
