( A stag night in fact). CN Traveller in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveller.com\/article\/best-places-to-go-in-europe-2024\">their article<\/a> recommend a trip to Budapest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They say,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Renowned for its architecture, the Hungarian capital spans everything from art nouveau and neoclassical to gothic and baroque, with the Blue Danube connecting it all like a ribbon. And then there are the mineral-rich thermal baths, featuring ornate design flourishes. The city also buzzes with creativity, which spills over into the vibrant nightlife; the ruin bars district is a tangible example of crafting opportunity from the ashes of adversity following the brutality of Communist rule. November 2023 marks 150 years since the previously divided cities of Buda, Pest and Obuda were unified and, as well as a series of cultural events, the Chain Bridge \u2013 the city\u2019s oldest and a \u201csymbol of togetherness\u201d, according to Mayor Gergely Kar\u00e1csony \u2013 has fully reopened after a two-year restoration, granting excellent views of Buda Castle and the Hungarian Parliament Building. Ferihegy is a small airport and only those airlines with a lot of flights Malev &amp; Lufthansa have automated machines and permanently manned kiosks. SWISS opened theirs two hours before take off and so you can&#8217;t get airside &#8217;till then.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a title=\"my blog\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.davelevy.info\/2010\/04\/25\/memento-park-budapest\/\">Memento Park<\/a>, they&#8217;ve moved many of the public statues from the Communist era to this park. At <b>Budapest<\/b>, it talks about money exchange and ground transport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Money<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>They use the Hungarian Forint (HUF). Yahoo converts <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/currency-converter\/?amt=1&amp;from=GBP&amp;to=CHF#from=GBP;to=HUF;amt=1\">CHF:GBP here&#8230;<\/a>. They take Euros nearly everywhere, not sure about the exchange rate you get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Things to do<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shooting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sightseeing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eating and Drinking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bathing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is appallingly incomplete, I&#8217;ll update it next time I plan a trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hotels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bristol that we used had european plugs and free public wifi. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20171001100120\/http:\/\/www.starwoodhotels.com\/lemeridien\/property\/overview\/index.html?propertyID=1861\">Le Meridien<\/a> is very central and has an interesting history, but is usually more expensive than I want to pay.
