I am an innovative, creative IT solutions designer, with over thirty five years experience.
From October 2009, until the summer of 2017, I worked at Citihub Ltd., as a Principal Consultant continuing to solve IT problems for the Investment Banks and broking houses in London. Since joining them from Sun Microsystems, I conducted assignments concerned with Security Architecture, Availability Engineering, Predictive Risk Analysis, IT Risk Management and IT Security. Over the penultimate 18 months, I developed Citihub’s privacy compliance offering. I also continued to work internationally visiting France, Germany and New York.
I had joined Citihub after 12 years at Sun Microsystems where I had held several roles finishing my time there as Chief Technologist, Global Systems Engineering Europe, working with many of the world’s leading companies, as well as working in the public policy team, where among other things, I represented Sun on the EU’s NESSI Steering Committee. I also co-authored the book, “Migrating to the Solaris Operating System”. In addition to the engineering and technology knowledge required, working for a systems vendor in this role, required knowledge on intellectual property law and the economics of software.
Prior to this, I have experience in the IT industry working in Government, Banking, Insurance and for two IT systems vendors. Over this period, I have acquired massive experience in technology solutions design & development, primarily using RDBMS software with UNIX computers. I also worked and advised in the economics of the data centre.
Throughout my career, I have worked as a manager, team leader and individual contributor and built several high performing teams. My work and experience is documented in my CV , and at linked in,
