I was writing an article and needed to see, how large £1.9bn was in terms of the UK’s gross national investment. I found this on the BBC, which is a fact check on a claim made by Tom Watson MP on the size of the EU’s R&D budget in the UK. It’s about £1.35bn p.a., Further research i.e. googling suggests that this is equivalent to four east end hospitals.
