Last week’s New Statesman, as provocative as ever, an article by its editor, George Eaton on Tories and Cameron’s retreat on child poverty. The figures explain a lot.
Some people have been busy supporting the Greek people who go to the polls today to vote on whether to accept the trokia’s latest offer. and in more trivial news I have joined the Greek Solidarity Campaign and contributed to the public subscription to pay off their debt. Some might call it posturing, since they’re at 0.1% of their target, but its a petition with commitment; not so much in my case.

Individual blogs, like mine, are losing their readership volume. It’s sites with a brand that are attracting writers and it’s the site brand that attracts readers; I think we need to be more collective. Of course, there’s a stunning lack of generosity in linking, acknowledging others and even in retweeting.
