Harbinger

Electoral Calculus now agree with the pack, Tories biggest party, but call my neighbouring constituency, Bermondsey & Old Southwark for Labour, as well as Wirral West where Esther McVey, the Tory Bedroom Tax Minister is forecast to loose her seat. The also call Glenrothes for Labour where Mel Ward, a local party comrade is standing. …

Leftism

Labour and the Greens were out this morning, leafleting New Cross station; the Green leaflet is interesting, borrowing from the LibDems; “only the Greens can beat Labour” … not exactly an appeal to the Left, more likely an appeal to those Tories left in  Deptford. More evidence to the allegation that the Greens are just Tories on bikes! …

Hunt

You couldn’t make it up, back in 2013, I predicted that #JeremyHunt, the Secretary of State for Health would keep his seat #swsurrey unless a united front on a media, anti-corruption or save the NHS campaign stood, preferably with all party agreement. I thought it unlikely. However, today, the National Health Action Party is standing a strong candidate, and the 2010 second place party who won 31%, the LibDems, have had their candidate disqualified, but not removed from the ballot paper. 🙁  The NHAP seem to think this will help.

I recorded this with a storify, date created 30th May 2015, which I added to this post in Nov 2019.

Mistakes

Made the mistake of watching Leader’s question time last night and the BBC and the respectable press are suggesting Miliband is not contrite enough on the deficit; he straight out denied that Labour’s borrowing was the problem. This is firstly true and secondly will play well to his supporters.

Greens

Drinks with the youth last night, South Londoners, thinking about Green Party because of Trident, Climate Change and Digital Liberty. They are against the first two and for the third. Something for everyone to think of. …
