Mike Ramchand has published a blog article about deploying a clustered pair of virtual box containers on a Solaris host. I am rather impressed.

Virtualising Sun Cluster, by Mike Ramchand
I had argued long and hard that a cluster resource group was a ‘soft’ virtual machine but I wasn’t listened to. The failure to recognise the lightweight container or at least movable object as a deployment object has acted as a barrier to innovating beyond the image based container. This configuration is an early illustration of the role of hypervisors as abstraction vehicles.
