On my sun/oracle blog, I announced a change in my header picture aka banner. I cropped it to make it more suitable for use as a banner but in this post I have linked to the flickr source where you can see GustavoG’s copyleft assertion. …
Ringtones & Revolution
During the recent election campaign, and one of the small left wing acts I took was to re-install “L’Internationale” on my phone. Its been the revolutionary anthem of European socialists since the Paris Commune, and is the more likely song to have been played at the Finland Station as Lenin arrived. (What? See also here…). …
Back to the day job! Disruption & Optimisation
Been to Betfair and one of Accenture’s project teams recently, and following sensible advice from colleagues, while I can’t reflect what they said, I can repeat what I said, or observed. …
Yet more South Park
A bunch of the Sun bloggers have been using a “What you’d look like in South Park!” tool hosted here… to make images of themselves, or occasionally others. My younger son made this for me.
Cluetrain Manifesto
My copy of the Cluetrain Manifesto arrived last Friday, I’m about half way through. I bought a copy because when considering whether to start a blog last summer, Danese Cooper, recommended it as the best source to understand how and why Sun (and other employers) need us to do this, and why we should. No Smoking
The first anniversary of stopping smoking. Hooray for me. …
The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide (2005)
I went to see the Hitch Hiker’s Guide and reviewed it on my sun/oracle blog. I wasn’t impressed. …
Voting, Blogs, Gadgets, Issues & Belief

The FT have a good one, although it seems a bit biased towards the liberal democrats and doesn’t work so well with mozilla. Despite its bias, its not quite as bad as a historic Private Eye headline “Voting Labour gives you aids!”, or the Harry Enfield spoof “L is for Labour, L is for Lice”, or anything party political by the Daily Mail. …
