My compression packing cubes are broken and I need some more, or at least one more. It needs a sturdier zip. Here’s what I found …

The medium bag I am replacing is 35cm x 25cm or 13.7″ by 9.8″

I watched two videos,

  1. Compression Cubes Review – Which One is Best for Travel … with Amber from Gateway Travel
  2. The Best Compression Packing Cubes, from Away Together and Aly, in this case Nic.

And shortlisted the following

  1. By Tripped Travel Gear , expensive and maybe large, but they have a much cheaper two piece. $18.95 USD, but not sure of the sizes, the six piece set which Amber liked is $50 i.e. £36.95 but I must know the size.
  2. By Bagail, advertised as 4 piece set, the page is quite unclear on what one gets. Price is in USD. The four piece set has three usable, one is probably too big. $24.99 for a four piece set. + delivery.
  3. Cipway, offers a pack of three, The medium is fine, and the small is also usable. They boast about the zip. £24.99 for three pieces.
  4. Gonex, set of 4, with code, the medium is a bit small. £29.99 RRP with a code
  5. Thule, Medium, 35.6L x 25.9W x 3.2H centimetres £15.99 – one piece and sadly one colour.
  6. Albatross, 4 piece, two mediums, 10″ x 8″ and one large 14×10″ – £25

I bought the Thule.

One lesson from my first purchases, is that you pay for quality. I don’t want to be cheap this time.
