The EU’s approach to Britain and Brexit needs fixing, by Mujtaba Raman, who argues, “Starmer and von der Leyen should prepare an ambitious political declaration for their approaching first summit” TLDR: they didn’t.
Labour’s about to find out that alignment is not the same as agreement, from the FT, via archive.ph by Peter Foster, a reveiw of Labour’s Manifesto after the election result. He is critical of the superficial nature of Labour’s ambition.
EU leaders ‘open-minded’ about future relations with UK, says senior official, from the Guardian, dated 15th July, “But they have indicated the ball is firmly in the UK’s court and they expect an offer from London on issues such as youth mobility and citizens rights to get things rolling.”
