This was the original and first unofficial fixpack for the Baldur’s Gate family of games. I refer to it in this wiki on a couple of my BG2 articles. It has now moved and can be found at Gibberlings 3 and has been renamed “fixpack”. The old site is available at the wayback machine.
I decided to play this. I downloaded it from its home page but the game has been updated. Here are my notes, which talks a bit about version control but also includes some hints. For more, including the play hints, see below/overleaf. Continue reading “NWN2: the Harp & the Chrysanthemum”
For some reason I looked at the video below/overleaf on Youtube, it’s about D&D character classes and multi-classing and this is my response. Not sure how useful it is as most of the words relate to rules no longer used. I conclude with the words, “in summary, if playing in a balanced party, given the current (v5e) broad choice of initial classes, their enhancement via prestige classes, the nature of the XP scale (it’s no longer exponential), power games should stick to pure classes, and real power players will play human wizards.” Continue reading “More on classes in D+D”
Sometimes, you cant be arsed to wait for an exit point. Here’s the runes… Continue reading “NWN2 Swapping Party Members now”
This is a mirror of the Epic Guild page, which it seems has now disappeared. I have added a link to my fan video of a shifter/werebear below/overleaf which was originally posted in my article, Rendering New Age Video, on this wiki.
The URL was http://home.comcast.net/~worldofgreyhawk/builds/data/build275446.html, I suspect that this is the best mirror that survives.

Someone’s finally done it, Baldur’s Gate, presumably the original saga, rendered in the NWN2 game engine, known as Baldur’s Gate Reloaded. This was originally pointed out to me by Berliand. This article hosts a video trailer and comments on the acquisition and installation process. Continue reading “Baldur’s Gate Reloaded”
I need to do some NWN modding. The first project I set myself looks harder than it should. I want to remodel the NWN1 Thayvian Circlet, to be a circlet. It’s currently a helmet. Continue reading “Modding in NWN, a custom helmet”
There’s only so many times one can play the official campaigns and after about 4 years I began to look for additional content. Obviously I have the Kingmaker Expansions, but for various reasons I decided to look further. This page is impacted by the bioware hack and also by the collapse/destruction of the original vault. This was replaced by a new vault, https://neverwintervault.org/. Otherwise, here are my notes, which consist of sections Continue reading “NWN – Some Modules”
The NWN Online book says,
Saving throws are a measure of a character or creature’s resistance to special types of attacks-poisons, magic, and effects like a dragon’s breath weapon. If a saving throw is made, this may reduce the damage or prevent the effects of the spell or attack entirely.
I started this a while ago, in particular when playing SoU with a fighter/thief, for more see Binky Netzen. This article talks about traps, and multi-classing and cross references a character guide walkthrough. Continue reading “NWN Playing a Rogue”
This article has broken links. DFL July 2013. The Community Expansion Pack is what it says; a collection of packaged changes, they are used in a number of mods. It’s an omnibus package. This page documents my notes on how to install it. There are two versions of the CEP named, One & Two. Continue reading “NWN Community Expansion Pack”
I finished my second run through Neverwinter Nights the other week, with a Barbarian called Dello. I started with a low charisma, but its not a good idea to take a low charisma character through this game, a number of story lines are not available and there’s not a lot of compensation, well apart from the extra attributes. Anyway, I cheated his charisma up using Leto. Continue reading “Dello in Neverwinter”
Some notes on Playing a Mage in the NWN Official Campaign. I made her an Evoker. An extra spell per level, but you lose “Summoning”. I have never played a wizard under wither V2 or V3 rules, and it’s really changed. I need to check up on the offence, defence, buffing, protection and counterspells. About the specialisation, despite losing summoning, neither Shades nor Mordenkian’s Sword are summoned, it would seem. This article contains broken Bioware links. Continue reading “NWN Playing a Wizard”
This is my page about Machinima, which now has a wikipedia page. Another project which fell by the wayside. The rest of this page deals with some experiments and documents he links I found. Continue reading “Machinima”
