What’s the difference between W10 Home & Pro? Here are my notes?

The big difference between Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro is the security of the operating system. Windows 10 Pro safer when it comes to protecting your PC and protecting data. In addition, you can link a Windows 10 Pro device to a domain, which isn’t possible with a Windows 10 Home device. Windows 10 Pro also has useful features such as Remote Desktop to remotely connect to another PC in the office.
They also have a little table, and an infographic and my featured image is a screen scrape from their site. The big obvious losses are bitlocker and RDP, which is probably a side effect of wanting to implement stronger applications execution ACLs. The also, finally, it would seem offer a distributed update service, so the upgrades only need to be downloaded once saving bandwidth costs.
This page from Microsoft describes how to upgrade to Pro. It seems to be a lot of faff, and may cost what to me and a consumer is lot of money. Reminds me of the old days when certain server functionality in NT was turned off via a registry variable.
Seems a bit shit to charge for security! Is the domain support becoming necessary in multi-device households? Does “Home” limit AD’s functionality? Can I implement a windows jumpstart without Pro?
I’ll look out for this next time I buy.
Previous Windows Home and Pro versions had major differences when it came to core features but Microsoft has changed things with Windows 10. Unlike the past, Windows 10 Home and Pro are very similar and they pack enough features to be viable for most users but as you would expect, Windows 10 Pro comes with more advanced security and privacy features.
