It’s been a while since I looked at this. Here are my notes …

Europe seems strong on semi conductor technology, not so much on systems nor OS’s; Brexit hurts it seems since the UK is no longer part off the EU HPC Joint Undertaking.

I found the TOP 500 site, and wrote a linkedin blog on Sunak’s ambition to build a British supercomputer. I became curious about the importance of the interconnect, and found this, “Top Network Hardware Companies and Startups in the UK“, have to say I have heard of none of them, and can;t determine if there is an interconnect design and manufacture in the UK.
