I decided to finally make some bread. I started with one of Jack’s recipes, obviously the second will be better than the first. It tasted fine, I made a bit of mess and the kneading could have gone better.

The GMB’s annual congress, except when pandemics occur is defined by rule., Rule 8. It consists of one delegate per 1500 members and the delegates are appointed by the regions, 90% elected by the membership within Regions and 10% appointed by the Regional Committees, which are themselves indirectly elected bodies. This means that at the moment, Congress is about ~420 delegates.
I am surprised to learn of a minimum statutory notice period in employment law, defined by the Employment Rights Act 1996 §86; it’s one week/year subject to a 12 week cap, if you’ve worked for them for over two years. I got myself a new office chair, I have been without for several months. I got a Millberget from Ikea; the price seems OK but delivery which of course has to be done at the moment is not cheap. I doubt they have reduced the price of deliveries to support us all during lockdown.
